Hazrat Omar, the second Caliph of Islam, ruled with wisdom and justice from 634 to 644 CE. His reign was marked by remarkable expansions of the Islamic empire. One of the major battles during his reign was the Battle of Yarmouk in 636 CE, where the Islamic forces decisively defeated the Byzantine army, leading to the Muslim conquest of Syria. This victory was a turning point in the history of the region, shaping the course of the Islamic empire's expansion.
